I recently finished my first young adult romance fantasy and opened sign-ups for beta readers. Ms Willow reached out to me and offered her service. I think it was pure luck that my video found her. I need to add that I am not a native English speaker. She went through my manuscript (100k words) in the blink of an eye (literally 3 days, 2 days faster than promised), provided a detailed report, emotional responses, and highlighted my weaknesses and strengths. Not only did I receive valuable feedback to work on, but I also understood what the reader goes through. I also enjoyed that she matched my energy - I didn't want to get strict, 1000% professional feedback - I wanted to get the ✨ vibes ✨ and she delivered them in such a way, I giggled and clapped on her comments. Don't let that fool you - the report went knees and elbows deep into every other request I had: punctuation, grammar, world-building, pacing and characters, which is why I will definitely come back for her service in the future. The money I paid does not cover the value of the service that was returned. It really set a high standard for my future beta reading requests.

When I set the ambitious goal of publishing my book in 2025, I quickly discovered that self-publishing can be quite costly. I cannot recommend Ms Willow enough! She found me through TikTok shortly after I started posting about my book. I had just finished my final round of editing, had already submitted to publishers, and I had absolutely 0 idea on what I was doing. She reached out to me and offered her services, and I couldn’t say no. She is a wonderful, kind person, who was just lovely to work with every step of the way. Knowing now that I don’t need some fancy publisher for my book to reach people and make an impact, I’m no longer so set on caring what publishers think. Ms Willow is such a great and underrated beta reader. She makes you love the book you write, makes you feel like like you shouldn’t give up on your dreams. She’s such an encouraging and honest beta reader that gives you everything you need in a beta reader. She’s the second beta reader I reached out to and she made my manuscript glow! She pinpointed things that I would have never noticed, and very enthusiastic. It feels like you’re talking to a friend when working with her. She keeps to deadlines, she honest, encouraging, a good critic and gives you exactly what she says she’ll give you.

Ms. Willow delivered in ways I was not expecting and oh my god am I grateful for her reaching out to me. From her honest word to her attention to detail, her review of my book was an amazing read and an experience I will cherish. Her reflection to the story and every little detail and how she wrote like she experienced it, helped me tremendously with understanding how the reader's inner monologue could look like. She held nothing back. She skillfully pointed out all the things she liked in a very casual but professional way, while also pointing out potential flaws I wouldn't have noticed without her. I'll be honest and say I only hired this wonderful beta reader to only answer some questions versus in-line comments and more feedback, so I'm only giving my perspective for not so much detailed feedback. That is what I requested though, and I can honestly say I appreciate and respect the fact she accepted my request to just read the story to see if she enjoyed it only and answer twelve questions, instead of trying to persuade me to add more to my order. (or ignore my request entirely.) She also read my very long email detailing my story. It made me feel like she respected me and my goals and vision versus trying to take over my story, which I have had happen before. I think she did an amazing job. She was extremely polite in emails, got back my almost 165,000 novel in a week, and answered my questions fully instead of one word answers. I would hire her for in-line comments and more detail for my next book since I now trust her to work with me instead of over me or against me. She also was very honest, yet not rude, in her answers to my questions. It was really refreshing. What I loved the most is her open mind. My story structure is very different, as well as my themes and content, so it was very nice to see she was hesitant but still went into the story and adapted to everything. She read with an open mind and let herself get lost in the story instead of trying to fix everything or change stuff, which from someone from a marginalized background where that happens a lot, means so much. It really means a lot to see the hesitation fade away and an open mind develop as a beta reader reads my novel. It makes me feel like I can finally embrace my culture and inspire others to as well. I thank Ms. Willow so much for that. I'm very picky with what beta readers I recommend to hire, because I truly want my fellows authors to get good value and work with great beta readers. I recommend Ms. Willow and will be working with her on my next book. I feel I can trust her to help me with my vision and she works hard to make sure she tailors her feedback to your requests. She's so polite and her prices are fair! I enjoyed my time with her.

10/10 would absolutely recommend!!! Let me just say, this has been a year of nothing but firsts, and we aren't even halfway through it. I finished my first draft of my debut novel in January and have been hard at work ever since. As soon as I put out the call for help, Ms Willow was right there and ready to cheer me on. She's been an absolute inspiration and joy to work with. The patience! This is my first book and I've had tons of questions and concerns, but all along the way Ms Willow answered every one of them and refused to let me flounder in self doubt. Cheering me on from the sidelines every step of the way. When people suggest getting a Beta reader because, as the author, you're too close to the work, they aren't wrong! Ms Willow pointed out many useful questions, caught several inconsistencies, and conveyed every emotion she felt as she went through my draft. In the end, the report she provided collated everything in an organized and easy to understand manner. My main concerns had been about pacing and character development. I can't tell you just how much of a relief it was to get a shining stamp of approval! The insight she's provided took the weight of doubt and worry off my shoulders, giving me the ability to confidently move forward. She'll be my go-to Beta reader for quite a long time.
